This world resembles a vast flowery garden where both throns and flowers grow up side by side. . Purnima was innocent and comely as the fragrance of a rare flower bud. Her mother and father had both taken heavenly abode when she was just born and she was being brought up by her heartless aunty Shankry. One day Shankry got so much fed up with Purnima that she dragged her from her house in Neecha Nagar to Pawan Ghat-a most solitary place on the top of the hill, where Sagar Chacha, the old grandfather of Purnima, was living a life of complete seclusion. . But when Shankry heartless forced Purnima on to Sagar Chacha by leavin her at Pawan Ghat, the innocence of Purnima and her helpless plight re-kindled the grandfatherly instincts in the heart of old Sagar Chacha. In this small secluded corner of the hill at Pawan Ghat where the arrival of Purnima had made the entire surroundings gay and happy another innocent child named Jaggu used to rear his goats and after the days roaming about in the hills around Pawan Ghat feeding his herd, the would return home in Neecha Nagar, where his blind mother all the day eagerly awaited his return home. But since the arrival of Purnima in Pawan Ghat, Jaggu, the shepherd, allthe more got attached to Pawan Ghat, Jaggu the shepherd all the more got attached to Pawan Ghat and is surrounding and the two innocent flowers in Purnima and Jaggu would go go further and further in the interior of the green valley as the only playmates of life and cherish the beautie of the natural surroundings. . Days rolled on and all was well in Pawan Ghat. One day Shankry appear ed on Pawan Ghat with intent to take away Purnima from Sagar Chacha with ulterior motives. He rebuffed Shankry, but she was also too clever of him and it was not difficult for her to coax the innocent Purnima, and she brought Purnima in the city and fixed her up as life long-servant in the house of one Seth Girjay Shanker for a consideration of Rs. 500/- . Seth Girjay Shanker was big businessman who generally remained out of station in connection with his business. His only child Rupa, a girl of about 11, whose legs had lost their energy and movements as an after effect of a serious attack of typhoid, was being looked after by governess. She had no companion, and it was for this reason that Purnima was engaged as perpetual maid companion of Rupa. Purnima and Rupa started liking each other tremendously and became so friendly that it did not suit the governess and she felt annoyed with Purnima. . Purnima herself could not stand her having been forcibly removed from her grand old papa. Rupa treated her as her own younger sister and she had all the possible comforts of a rich family. Inspite of this, home and sweet home was the cry of this poor innocent Purnima, but under medical advice Seth Girjay Shanker had no option but to send her back to Pawan Ghat. . Purnimas departure to Pawan Ghat brought back Sagar Chacha and Jaggu once again to happiness. . The departure of Purnima from Seth Girjay Shankers house resulted in the serious illness of his daughter Rupa, who would not stand the seperation of her only companion. Doctors wanted her to go some hill station for change, but Rupa would not do that. She wanted to be with Purnima as Purnima alone could make her happy and Rupa had accordingl to be sent to Pawan Ghat. How rupa arrives at Pawan Ghat and how the tender love and care of Purnima, Sagar Chacha and Jaggu coupled with the wondrous climate and natural surroundings of Pawan Ghat cure Rupa of her disability to walk and further climaxes are a thing of beauty to watch on the sliver screen.
