A cop father against criminal son crime drama made in the Indian variant of the film noir style launched Mukherjees megahit Kismet (1943). Kunwar takes to gambling and gets involved in bad company in spite of his father being a policeman. Although Kunwar is reformed by his gentle brother, his past cateches up with him in the form of his former crooked sidekick, In the end, Kunmwar escapes from jail to avbenge the betrayal of a man who was supposedly on the right side of the law, and his father face him with a gun, torn between his responsibility as a parent and as a cop. |
