In old old days, over the land of Tiflistan, ruled a king Feroze Bakht by name. He had four sons. When he was blessed with another child, the soothsayers warned him that he could see it only at the risk of losing his own eyesight. But the fates had decreed that this warning should go unheeded. The king saw the child and lost his eyesight. The royal doctors gave the verdict that only the fair flower named "GUL BAHAR" could help him regain his sight. . The quest for the flower stared. Years passed by and the four young princes, as foolish as most of the princes used to be went in search of the flower but they lost their way into the snares of the notorius dancer "GUL BADAN". . At last the yung prince Taj-ul-Maluk, who had grown into a fine youngman by now, also started on the great quest. He didnt know the destination and the paths were difficult but he dient lose heart. Demons barred his way fairies lured him to stay but the prince went on Braving all danger and temptations aside, he reached at last the beautiful garden fo the fairy "GUL BAHAR" where the cherised flower of the same name bloomed. . It was a land of magic where stones laughed and water changed into sand. Here reposed the ageless beauty. The prince saw her and was spell bound. He lost his heart to her and she too fell in love with him. |
